Geia Food Opens Office in Finland
Geia Food in Helsinki, Finland
Geia Food’s positive sales development on the export markets continues, and has made it viable to establish a Finnish subsidiary, which opened in Helsinki on 1 March 2014. Geia Food already has a subsidiary in Sweden which caters for the Swedish retail market, and now the time has come to establish the company in Finland.
CEO Claus Ravnsbo says:
”We want to be close to our customers, so that we can keep developing the business with them. At the same time we want our suppliers to use Geia Food as their preferred point of entry into the Scandinavian market. We have experienced significant growth in our trade with our Finnish customers, and so we have decided to establish ourselves in the country to further strengthen this development”.
Geia Food A/S is the result of the merger between the two food suppliers A Frost A/S and Mortensen Food A/S. The company is one of Scandinavia’s leading suppliers of frozen and chilled food and groceries, with a turnover of around DKK 1 billion. Geia Food specializes in developing and selling food to the Scandinavian retail market, either under own brand names or as private labels.
